Six Weeks Before Move:

  • Call for moving estimates.
  • Call the Chamber Of Commerce and Visitors & Convention Bureau in your new town and get their new resident information packages.

  • Start using things up that you can't move, like cleaning supplies and frozen food.
  • Discuss tax-related moving expenses, liabilities, and deductions with your tax advisor.
  • Make a list of all people/organizations to contact about change of address.
  • Complete U.S. Postal Service change of address forms and mail them to all applicable publications, stores and organizations.
  • Get copies of (or arrange for transfer at both ends of move) all school, medical, dental, veterinary, legal, and accounting records.
  • Contact insurance agents to transfer or cancel coverage.
  • If it's a company move, check with your employer to find out what moving expenses they cover.

Four Weeks Before Move:

  • Get an itemized list of all moving related costs and review with mover, including packing, loading, special charges, insurance, vehicles (if needed), etc.
  • Contact all current and new location utility companies (gas, water, electric, cable TV, phone & trash collection) to set connect/disconnect dates. Remember to keep current utilities hooked up until move day.
  • Make arrangements for relocation of pets and plants.
  • Move valuables to safe deposit box to prevent loss during move.
  • If you are packing yourself, acquire packing materials/boxes and pack items you won't need for the next month.
  • If professional mover is packing your goods, schedule packing day(s) 1 or 2 days before move.
  • Prepare any mowers, snow blowers, boats, snowmobiles (or other vehicles you won't be using before the move) for the move by servicing and draining gas and oil, to prevent a moving van fire.
  • Repair, send out for re-upholstery, or clean furniture, drapes, carpeting as needed.

What our clients are saying

We recently had a real estate sales experience with Bon that was so positive that I would highly recommend him to anyone looking to sell or buy property. He made great recommendations on readying our property for sale and has names of repair people to assist in that regard. He is prompt with his appointments and gives you whatever time you need. Bon is a very pleasant man. If you need a realtor, Bon is your man!

~ Kelly C.

I highly recommend Bon for selling our house. He was the 2nd agent we hired since the first agent couldn't sell it. I like the way he was more savvy with technology and bringing a lot of people into the open houses. We got into contract in 3 weeks

~ Jerson K.

Hilda Munoz was our realtor when we sold our house at 5169 Carisbrooke Vallejo. Hilda went knocking and passing flyers to the neighborhood and within a week we have a multiple offers. Hilda is very aggressive, did process all the paperwork and all we did is to sign. She's an excellent realtor she went extra miles to sell our house quick. Her expertise as realtor is excellent. I recommended Hilda Munoz to my family and friends and they told me she is excellent realtor she went beyond their expectations

~ Mila M.

I chose to work with Bon after getting a strong recommendation from a coworker. I found Bon to be a very knowledgeable agent and was pleased with the entire selling process. Bon kept me up to date throughout the listing and I was very happy with the price received.

~ Dave A.

When I put my house on market I was so stressed and nervous. Bon and Pracey took all the stress away and literally sold my house less than 1 month. They have a bunch of experience and they are very Professional. I would highly recommend Bon and Pracey to anyone that's looking to purchase or sell. Thankyou so much for everything you've done for me Bon and Pracey and I will never forget your kindness.

~ Danny P.

Bon have the work ethic and his ability to get things done. Bon is an expertise in the real estate business and knows how to close a deal. From the very first property we were shown to the last, Bon stuck with us until the deal was done. I highly recommend Bon if you are in the market for a new home purchase or to sell an existing home.

~ Mindy L.

LeBon sold our house in 1 week and his marketing was fantastic but the problem was that we needed to buy a house in a different school district and we didn't want to rent or move twice in the process. LeBon negotiated for us to stay at our house we sold for 1 month for free which was enough time to buy our current home that we live in so the transition was smooth and stress free. We only had to move once ?? Thanks LeBon. I know I might be a little biased but that's only because this is the 3rd home LeBon helped us sell in the last 15 years.

I was a 1st time home-buyer with little experience in real estate and a lot of anxieties about making such a big purchase. Remy's diligence and expertise made the experience "painless" for me. I started working with Remy at a time when the market was really hot. Remy worked around my schedule and was always ready to go looking for homes when I got off work. There were homes that I liked, but Remy advised me against them because of structural flaws, architectural design, and poorly done upgrades. All things I knew nothing about. In just a few months I ended up with a home that exceeded my expectations. If you are looking to purchase a home I definitely recommend working with Remy.

~ Latosha P.

Remi was very helpful in our process of buying a house. We looked at many houses together and we finally found the perfect house! She was very punctual and was available any time we had questions.

~ Michael B.

Hilda is very helpful, patient, trustworthy and acts fast. She was my agent when I bought my house in 2009. I have recommended her to my close friends whom also have taken her whether they sell or buy.
